“Porte Aperte ATM” is back. The major event by Azienda Trasporti Milanesi, open to all citizens, will be held on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 December, from 10am to 7pm. The event will take place in “San Donato” Metro Depot, located in Milan, via Giuseppe Impastato 27, near M3 metro stop San Donato.

Technological innovation and development in the spotlight. An unusual look at the metro, a world worth discovering. The world behind the scenes of the most advanced technologies and operational processes of those moving Milan.

The inauguration is scheduled for Saturday 17 at 10.30am. The Company’s top management, in the presence of representatives of the City Institutions and Authorities, will draw curtains on four routes: an exhibition route will explain the history of ATM and its achievements in terms of service quality; a sound route will unveil the features of the four metro lines and the new “Leonardo” trains; a technical route will show some machining processes and explain the driving techniques with the help of train drivers; a virtual route will allow to drive the “Leonardo” train, enter the control rooms using a VR viewer kit and discover a surprising view on the Company reality. In addition to this, the last-generation “Leonardo” trains and the other trains of the metro fleet will be in exhibition.

A dedicated space will offer activities for children, who will be able to visit the technology carriage and meet Santa Claus on the ATMerry Christmas Train. Publications and videos about the Company will be made available to visitors in the Campus area.
