Works in piazza 5 Giornate: changes from 1st June to 3rd September 

From 1st June to 3rd September the routes of the tramway lines 9 and 19 are modified because of modernization works on the tramway network in piazza 5 Giornate. In a second work phase from 1st July to 3rd September route diversions are planned also on the lines 12-27-60-73 and the night lines N6 and N27.

From 1st June to 3rd September

Line 9

Line 9 goes along its usual route between Porta Genova FS M2 and viale Bligny/Ripamonti, then it continues to Cairoli M1:

  • Cairoli M1 direction: unchanged route to viale Bligny/via Ripamonti, then it turns in corso di Porta Vigentina,  Crocetta M3, corso di Porta Romana, Missori M3, via Mazzini (Duomo M1 M3), via Orefici (Cordusio M1), via Cusani (Cairoli M1);
  • Porta Genova FS M2 direction: via Cusani (Cairoli M1), via Ponte Vetero, via Broletto (Cordusio M1), via Mazzini (Duomo M1 M3), Missori M3, corso di Porta Romana, Crocetta M3, corso di Porta Vigentina, viale Bligny, then usual route again.

Line 9 substitute service

Between viale Bligny/via Ripamonti and Centrale FS M2 M3 (piazza 4 Novembre) a bus connection service is operating:

  • Centrale FS M2/M3 direction: viale Bligny/Ripamonti (terminus), viale Sabotino, piazzale Medaglie D’Oro/Porta Romana M3, viale Caldara,  viale Regina Margherita, viale Bianca Maria, viale Majno, Porta Venezia M1, viale Vittorio Veneto, Repubblica M3, via Monte Santo, piazza San Gioachimo, via Filzi, piazza 4 Novembre (Centrale FS M2/M3, terminus by the 42 line stop);
  • viale Bligny direction: piazza 4 Novembre (Centrale FS M2/M3), via Filzi, piazza San Gioachimo,  Repubblica M3, Bastioni di Porta Venezia, Porta Venezia M1, viale Majno, viale Bianca Maria, viale Regina Margherita, viale Caldara, piazzale Medaglie D’oro (Porta Romana M3), viale Sabotino, viale Bligny.

Line 19

The line is operating on two stretches:

  • Roserio-Cairoli M1: from Roserio, usual route to piazza Virgilio, then it continues in via Boccaccio, Cadorna M1/M2 (last stop); direction Roserio, the line starts from Cairoli M1, piazza Castello/Beltrami, Cadorna M1/M2, via Boccaccio, piazza Virgilio, usual route to Roserio;
  • Lambrate FS M2-Centrale FS M2/M3: from Lambrate, usual route to via Bixio/viale Piave, then it continues in viale Piave, Porta Venezia M1, viale Vittorio Veneto, Repubblica M3, via Monte Santo, piazza San Gioachimo, via Filzi, piazza 4 Novembre (Centrale FS M2/M3).

Alternative routes:

  • M1 line: Cadorna M1/M2, Cordusio M1, Duomo M1/M3 and Porta Venezia M1 stations;
  • 16 tram line: between Largo D’Ancona and Duomo M1/M3;
  • 73 bus line: between Duomo M1/M3 and piazza 5 Giornate;
  • line 9 bus substitute service: between piazza 5 Giornate and viale Piave.

From 1st July and 3rd September

Line 12

From Roserio the line ends its runs in piazza Fontana. Alternative routes:

  • line 73, between via Larga and corso 22 Marzo/via Cadore;
  • line 66 from via Cadore to piazzale Martini.

Line 27

The 27 line service is performed by buses along the whole route.
Alternatively, you can use the line 73 between tra largo Rodari and via Larga.

Lines 60-73-N27

The routes of the lines 60, 73 and the night line N27 are modified between piazza Santa Maria del Suffragio and corso di Porta Vittoria near the Court, with transit in via Morosini, via Spartaco, via Besana, via Podgora.

Line N6

The route of the night line N6 is modified between piazza Santa Maria del Suffragio and viale Regina Margherita with transit in via Morosini and via Spartaco.
