M2 will close between Cadorna and Centrale on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August
On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August load tests are scheduled on the square in front of Porta Garibaldi railway station following the redevelopment works carried out by the company RFI in agreement with the Municipality of Milan.
The works will take place only on the area located in front of the railway station. However, to ensure the tests are carried out under the highest safety standards, the metro station and the tunnel must be closed. The disruption must be between Cadorna and Centrale to allow trains to reverse direction.
Cadorna, Garibaldi and Centrale metro stations will remain open
If you are departing by train, please allow extra time to reach one of these railway stations. Please find below all the alternatives to plan your journey.
On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August, M2 will be closed in both directions between Cadorna and Centrale
- Centrale and Cadorna stations will remain open (M2 trains from Gessate and Cascina Gobba will terminate at Centrale. Trains from Abbiategrasso and Assago will terminate at Cadorna). At Cadorna you can change between M2 and M1, at Centrale between M2 and M3
- The M2 stations of Lanza, Moscova, Garibaldi and Gioia will be closed
- Garibaldi M5 station will be open (but no change with M2). An additional service is scheduled on line M5
