Olympics: service changes and metro closures 

On Thursday, 5 and Friday, 6 February, service changes are planned for several lines to allow the passage of the Olympic Torch, as well as the transfer of delegations and State authorities.

THURSDAY 5 FEBRUARY – ROAD CLOSURES IN THE DUOMO, SAN BABILA, MONUMENTALE, PROCACCINI, AND CENISIO AREAS

  • M5. From 2 p.m. until midnight, Cenisio and Monumentale stations will be closed. Trains will not stop at these stations.
  • M1 and M3. From 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Duomo and San Babila stations will be closed. Interchange between M1 and M3 at Duomo will not be available. San Babila M4 station will remain open, but interchange with M1 will not be allowed.
  • Tram 2. From 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., trams run between Bausan–Lanza and Corso Colombo–Negrelli. No service between via Cusani and Porta Genova.
  • Tram 3. From 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., trams run between piazza 24 Maggio and Gratosoglio. No service between Duomo and piazza Sant’Eustorgio.
  • Tram 10. From 1 p.m. until the end of service, trams run between piazza 24 Maggio–Corso Sempione/Procaccini and viale Lunigiana–via Farini/Ferrari. No service between piazza Gramsci and Monumentale Cemetery.
  • Tram 12. From 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., trams run between Roserio–via Mac Mahon/Artieri, via Albricci/Missori, and viale Ungheria. No service between Mac Mahon/Monte Ceneri and Duomo. From 10 p.m. until the end of service, the line diverts between via Mac Mahon/Artieri and via Broletto/Cordusio.
  • Tram 14. From 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., trams run between Lorenteggio–viale Coni Zugna and Cimitero Maggiore–piazza Firenze. No service between piazzale Cantore and piazza Caneva. From 10 p.m. until the end of service, the line diverts between piazza Firenze and via Broletto/Cordusio.
  • Tram 16. From 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., trams run between Axum (San Siro Stadium) and piazzale Baracca, and between Monte Velino and piazza Missori. No service between Duomo and Corso Magenta.
  • Tram 19. From 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., trams run between piazza Castelli–piazza Virgilio and Lambrate–largo Augusto. No service between via Monti and via Larga.
  • Bus 43. From 1 p.m. until the end of service, buses run between Greco and largo Medici. No service between via Canonica/Sarpi and piazza Firenze.
  • Bus 57. From 1 p.m. until the end of service, buses run between Quarto Oggiaro–piazza Firenze and Cairoli–largo Medici. No service between Corso Sempione/Filiberto and via Canonica/Sarpi.
  • Bus 70. From 1 p.m. until the end of service, buses terminate at Porta Volta. Via Ceresio stop is not served.
  • Bus 78. From 1 p.m. until the end of service, buses run between Bisceglie and piazzale Damiano Chiesa. No service between Corso Sempione/Filiberto and via Govone.

FRIDAY 6 FEBRUARY – ROAD CLOSURES IN THE DUOMO, PIAZZA DELLA SCALA, SAN SIRO, AND ARCO DELLA PACE AREAS

  • This page will be updated with metro, tram and bus service changes.
  • Lampugnano car park. From 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., access is reserved for pass holders. After 3 p.m., parking is available at a cost of €4.
