How to buy a travel pass on a physical card via the app or this website

Download the app or go to this page:

• Register or login
• If you haven't already done so, save your physical travel card in your account
• Buy the travel pass you want by paying by credit card or other digital system (with PayPal you can pay in 3 installments)
• Once purchased, the travel pass must then be activated on an ATM and NET line. The pass needs to be activated the day after purchase: just bring the travel card close to the metro turnstiles or to the readers on board trams, buses and trolleybuses. We recommend that you always buy your pass at least one day before your trip.

You can buy in many bars, newsagents, tobacconists, stationers: see the list of authorised retailers. You can also buy from vending machines in metro stations. Please note: if you need to top up a monthly pass, don't wait until the first day of the month so you can avoid the queues.

Some discounted passes are to be requested in person

• Reduced annual travel pass: you can only apply to CAFs
• Under-30 youth card based on ISEE indicator: you can apply for it both at CAFs and ATM Points
• Senior travel passes for residents in Milan and based on ISEE indicator: you can apply for them either at CAFs or ATM Points
• Unemployed travel pass: apply only and only at the ATM Point in Duomo
• Travel pass for foster children: apply only at ATM Points
• Travel pass for families with more than three dependent children: apply at ATM Points
