Tickets to buy to travel in and around Milan

  • 2,20€ ticket. Valid 90 minutes
  • Daily ticket. Valid 24 hours, 7,60€
  • 3 days ticket. 15,50€
  • Carnet 10 tickets. 19,50€

These tickets (Mi1-Mi3 fare zones) are valid on metro lines, buses, trams, trolleybuses and are also accepted on S lines (suburban railways). You can also reach Rho Fiera on line M1 (consider the S lines as an alternative) and Assago Forum on line M2.

Where to buy tickets

Tickets can be purchased from the automatic machines located in all metro stations or at any authorised resellers (find here the list). You can also buy a ticket via ATM official app (read here how to validate it) or sending an SMS to 48444. 

To the city centre from Linate airport by metro line M4

The new metro line M4 connects the city centre with Linate airport.

How to reach Rho exhibition center

You can take the metro line M1 and get off at Rho Fieramilano terminal station. Alternatively, you can take the suburban S5, S6 or S11 lines from one of Milan railway stations (Porta Venezia, Porta Garibaldi or Repubblica). Either way, the Mi1-Mi3 fare is valid. If you have an urban travel pass, a 1,70€ integration is needed. You can load it on your electronic card at the automatic machines located in all metro stations or at any authorised resellers

How to reach the Assago Forum

Take the metro line M2 and get off at Assago Forum terminal station. The Mi1-Mi3 fare is valid. If you have an urban travel pass, a 1,70€ integration is needed here too.

Take the metro line M5 and get off at Portello 

How to reach San Siro stadium

To reach the stadium get off at Lotto (interchange station between lines M1 and M5) or San Siro Stadio terminal station (on line M5)

Bicycle or scooter rider?

ATM allows travelers to carry their own bicycle or electric scooter free of charge on the metro and some tramway lines in order to promote sustainable mobility. Find out more here

Night buses

Did you miss the last metro ride? Don’t worry! A night service is operated by buses during the night hours within Milan urban area (download the map). A Mi1-Mi3 ticket is required to get on board (standard 2,20€ ticket, daily pass, carnet, etc.).
